Hanneke de Boer
Dr. Hanneke (Johanna) de Boer was born in the Netherlands, raised in Sweden, and earned her medical degree in 2014 from the Charles University, Third Faculty of Medicine in Prague, Czech Republic. Since then, she has made Spain her home. In 2019, she began her residency in Family Medicine at Hospital Universitario Infanta Sofía in Madrid, completing it in 2024. During her residency, she also concluded a Master’s degree in Emergencies, Urgencies, and Catastrophes from the University of CEU-San Pablo. Her residency further enriched her expertise, providing advanced training in lifestyle change, cardiovascular risk management, palliative care, as well as abdominal, pulmonary, and cervical ultrasound techniques.
Following her graduation, Dr. De Boer gained extensive experience working as a family physician in rural areas of the Netherlands and within Madrids public healthcare system. This allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the differences in healthcare systems, as well as the varying expectations and needs of patients.
Drawing from her own experiences, Dr. De Boer places great emphasis on the importance of truly listening to her patients, ensuring they feel understood and providing clear, accessible explanations.
She is fluent in English, Dutch, Spanish, and Swedish, enabling her to connect with a diverse range of patients.
